This Is Our Story

Originally opened in 1954, Kris and family have operated the resort since 1971, we assumed responsibility in 1996. It started with 5 cabins and remains just 5 cabins. We have over 1000 feet of shoreline and 50 acres of mixed hardwoods to explore. Crowding more into the space we have, we decided, would take away from the peaceful experience our property offers. Fresh air and space are why people keep coming back yearly and we plan to keep it that way. Great fishing is another reason people return every year, the Bass fishing is phenomenal! There are abundant northern pike, great panfish fishing for sunfish-Kris's favorite-and crappies, perch and the occasional walleye. Through the early 2000's we remodeled and updated all the cabins for modern conveniences. While sitting on the beach, you may see common loons, a variety of ducks, bald eagles soaring overhead, redwing blackbirds and great blue heron fishing from the docks or shoreline. Whitetailed deer are commonly seen early in the morning or toward evening along with otters, muskrat and occasionally a beaver swim by.
