There are 2 electric and 2 "kick" wheels for throwing pottery of your own creation out of clay. Best of all, NO EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED! Kris is an accomplished potter who enjoys teaching others the fundamentals of her craft. From "throwing" or creating a vessel to trimming, how firing works through the glazing process from our library of colors. 

A favorite of many children is hand building clay projects into people, animals, vessels.... anything their imagination desires. We have all the supplies and tools they need to have a ball making something to take home or gift to family. 

Glass fusing for kids, depending on age, can be highly structured or more self-designed. Younger kids can use precut shapes, pieces and frit to create suncatchers, nightlights and more. And don't worry, art glass is much easier to work with safely than you might think. Older kids can be shown how to use basic tools to create their own shapes allowing more artistic freedom. 

For those with a little more life experience, glass fusing is a fun and colorful creative process, again, no experience required. We will get you started in the use of the tools and machines we have to allow you to create literally anything you wish from flat suncatchers to the use of forms to "slump" your creation into bowls, spoon rests and more! 

Pottery takes a few days of dry time before firing. Therefore, projects need to be started Sunday or Monday at the latest.

Glass needs a 24-hour firing time, so projects need to be ready to fire no later than Thursday. Slumping, or forming into shapes such as a spoon rest or bowl requires an additional 24-hour firing time.
